Consider iLASIK in the New Year

If you are considering LASIK in the new year, consider the iLASIK procedure at the Eye Center of Texas.  Dr. Edward Wade of the Eye Center of Texas only offers the best in bladeless custom iLASIK. When you come to our eye care facility, you will be greeted warmly and feel comfortable with our professional staff and  technology. In a complimentary iLASIK evaluation, we will measure your corneal thickness, map your cornea and compute your eye prescription. These tests are called pachymetry, corneal topography and refraction. We are able to treat farsightedness, nearsightedness and astigmatism easily with our advanced customvue platform by VISX. Our Wavescan gets a unique map of your vision that takes a fingerprint map of your entire visual system. This information is transferred to the VISX laser for the vision correction and as this happens, it automatically centers and tracks your eye movements. The laser vision correction procedure even takes into account your iris landmarks so that it is precisely placed on your eye. The precision and safety are amazing. When we make a flap in iLASIK, we only use the IntraLase bladeless laser. This laser makes the safest and most precise flap possible and we no longer see the possible complications from using a blade microkeratome.

With the combination of a Dr. Wade’s great surgical ability and the iLASIK technology…many of our patients achieve better than 20/20…that’s right…better than 20/20.

Among Dr. Wade’s numerous recognitions, VISX named him one of the ‘Top 100 LASIK surgeons in the U.S.’ and he is presently one of a select number of surgeons in Houston that offer “Intacs” for Keratoconus and “ICL”s; procedures for extremely nearsighted people who are not candidates for LASIK eye correction. He is one of the top 10 ReSTOR surgeons in the U.S. and has more experience with the ReSTOR lens than any surgeon in the Houston area.
