Insurance Plans Accepted
At the Eye Center of Texas, we accept most major medical insurance plans. Treatment of many eye conditions is covered by insurance, including Medicare; though few insurance companies pay for vision correction procedures. Your out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare or private insurance will depend on the type of insurance, type of procedure, whether you have supplemental insurance and whether you have a deductible. We will collect any co-pay required by your insurance at the time of your visit. If you have Medicare, please also be prepared to pay your deductible and/or any co-insurance at the time of your visit.
Many insurance plans require a referral; please contact your primary care physician prior to your appointment to get your referral notice. This will allow you to avoid having to be rescheduled.
If you have questions about what or how much is covered by your private healthcare insurance, contact your plan provider, or provide us with your insurance information and we'll check for you. For your convenience we process all insurance claims for you, please be prepared to provide up-to-date insurance information at each visit.
At the Eye Center of Texas, we attempt to get all our doctors on all insurance plans, but not all doctors are on each of these plans. Please call our office at (713)-797-1010 to verify which doctor is on your plan.
