Dear Dr. Allee,
I came to see you a few months ago at the Eye Center of Texas. My sister, Anjana Bhakta is an optometrist in Houston and she frequently refers patients to the Eye Center. She found a retinal hole in my left eye and I wanted to see Dr. Wade because he treated me last year. Because he was out of town, I made an appointment to see you. I’m so thankful I was able to meet you and be your patient. You not only were extremely personable but also were quite hilarious and make me feel so comfortable. I’ve never laughed so much at a doctor’s office before! Although I was a bit apprehensive about dilation and treatment because I thought I was pregnant at the time, you assuaged my anxiety with you keen sense of humor. Doctor’s visits aren’t typically enjoyable, but my visit with you at Eye Center of Texas was certainly pleasant.
The level of patient care I received should be an example to others, and this care extended beyond my visit. When there was a question about my bill, LaToya at your office was so helpful and went above and beyond to resolve the balance of my account. She continually updated me on the status of my reimbursement and spoke with her supervisor several times to ensure I would be issued a check as soon as possible. I wasn’t even aware I was getting such a large sum until I spoke with her and she informed me.
I wish more doctors were like you. Doctors need to emulate your medical practice, bedside manner, and genuine kindheartedness. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
