“I have worn glasses since the 6th grade and for the first time in my life, I can now see 20/20 in both eyes. I now wish I had done it sooner! Thank you Dr. Mayo for taking great care of my eyes! – Sharon M.
Dear Dr. Suarez:
Today I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Suarez and was told she will be out for the next several months. I was very sad because she has been my eye doctor for the last 8 years. She is a wonderful doctor and takes very good care of me and my eyes. I have diabetes and it’s a good thing I have her as my eye doctor, otherwise I might be blind. I hope she reads this because I want her to know how much I love and appreciate her compassionate care. God Bless you Dr. Suarez. I’m scheduled to see Dr. Stewart but I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Sincerely, Joe G.
I knew something was wrong and called my eye doctor. After I told him what was going on he immediately called the Eye Center of Texas and told them I needed to see Dr. Suarez ASAP. They were able to get me in that day, and Dr. Suarez did laser on my eye and saved my vision. I didn’t know what was going on but it ended up that had a retina detachment and if I had not seen her as soon as I did, I could of lost my vision in my left eye. Not only is Dr. Suarez one of the kindness doctor I’ve ever met, she is the best! Thank you!
Thank You Dr. Autry
Dear Dr. Autry,
For a little tiny thing, you sure are smart! When I first checked in I was not very happy, the waiting room was full but then I thought to myself, they must be very good because this place is busy. Sure enough after several tests, you came in and told me exactly what was going on with my vision. I’m forever grateful to you and the other doctors. Toni M.
Dr. Mayo is my Hero!
Dear Dr. Mayo,
I want to thank you and your staff for taking great care of me and my eyes. I was very upset when my eye doctor told me I had cataracts (I’m only 47), but she assured me she was sending me to the best cataract surgeon in Houston. When I met you, I knew I was in good hands and I immediately calmed down. Your staff was wonderful. My new friend Kathy helped me decide on which lens was best for me and I’m so glad I decided on the lens that allows me to see everything without glasses. I’m also grateful for Melissa who helped me book my surgery, she was very patient and understanding when I explained I needed to reschedule because of a work problem. I wanted to write this note because I needed to share my excitement of life without cataracts and glasses with the world!
Sincerely, Carolyn R.
Thank You Dr. Wade
Thank you very much for restoring my vision. I am so grateful for technology advancements. It is a true blessing to have intelligent and talented surgeons like you.
May God Bless You Much,
P.S. I will may a thank you to the nurses and staff at U of H Eye Center. I am so grateful for my vision. I am just beginning a journey to become a NICU RN and my sight is so much of an encouragement. It was also encouraging to meet all the surgery nurses. They are exactly the kind of nurse I want to be. It will be a couple of years before I get to U of H, but pray I have an opportunity to be mentored and trained by nurses like Aaron, Paula and all of them.
I chose Dr. Wade because I know 4 others who went to him and had great results. When I first went to find out if I was a candidate Dr. Allee made me feel very comfortable and explained I was a very good candidate (plus, he’s very funny). Then I met with Steven and he was very helpful and answered all my questions. This was a great experience…but best of all – no glasses or contacts!
I do wish to thank you and the staff of Eye Center of Texas for always being so kind and helpful. Several years ago I had had a severe detached retina. At the time, we did not have any medical insurance, so I waited almost a week before going to see my optometrist, Dr. Christina Acosta at Vision Source in Kingwood. When she saw the detachment she told me to be at Eye Center of Texas where she had completed her externship training, at 8:00 in the morning and she would call to ask that they would work me in. You can imagine our distress, no insurance, I am an assistant pastor so we had very little money, and not knowing how much this would cost. When my wife and I entered the building and saw the directory of doctors, one named popped out to my wife; Dr. Randall Dr. Reichle! She wondered if that was the same Dr. Reichle that she used years before when he first started his practice. You can imagine how great it made us feel when he came in to greet us and remembered her! From that point on we knew this was the right place to be.
Dr. Ting Fang-Suarez performed the surgery. She had such a great compassionate and caring attitude. Even though we had no medical insurance, she declared a medical emergency and got me into Methodist Hospital that day, even staying very late to perform the surgery. Thankfully, with the help of the pastor and members of our church we were able to pay cash for the surgery and your services. I was very impressed, though, that Eye Center of Texas never made a big deal of the costs. We were treated with respect and even felt like family by the time all the visits were ended. That is why we were so glad when we found Eye Center of Texas was a part of our insurance now. And we have not been disappointed! The Conroe office is great. Dr. Autry was wonderful with my wife and the staff was super!
I know you probably don’t want to hear all of this, but I just wanted to share my story and tell you all there at Eye Center of Texas, thank you again.

Dr. Mayo, thank you for taking good care of my Mother during cataract surgery! At first she was overwhelmed when you told her she had cataracts so I decided to do a little home work and quickly found out that you are the bomb when it comes to cataract surgery. I also want to thank Kathy for helping us understand all the options she had. After several conversations, she decided on the astigmatism lens with the laser. She’s reading and driving again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Cataract Surgery – Life Changer
Dear Dr. Mayo…
I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how happy I am with with my new vision after cataract surgery.
Now I can read menus, stock quotes, work on the computer, see my phone without reading glasses and I’m 67 years old. Last year my optometrist told me I needed to have cataract surgery, but I decided to wait (not sure why). I’m here to tell anyone hesitating about having cataract surgery…do it…it’s a real life changer!
