As a result of my recent annual eye exam by Dr. Robert Le in March, he indicated I needed to have the membrane removed from my left eye. I made the appointment with Dr. Wade. Once I arrived at the treatment center for my 2:30 appointment, I was evaluated and treated and left the center in about 2 hours. I met with several nurses and doctors before seeing Dr. Wade for the actual procedure. Everyone explained the exams and what was happening; and assured me the procedure would be very quick and painless. And it was. I left the center and went out to dinner that evening. So far so good. After care appointment scheduling has been difficult. The front desk line is not easy to reach, on hold for long periods of time and the phone drops calls. My paperwork says I can do all my follow up appointments with my eye doctor, yet I was forced to make my 3-5 day post-op follow up appointment at the Eye Center of Texas (which is a far drive for me), when my paperwork says I can do it with my local eye doctor. Overall confused and I don't want my lifetime guarantee questioned because I didn't do my follow up's where I'm supposed to. I think I had an appointment today (9/21/22) but I did not receive a phone call or email confirming the 3-5 post-op appointment, so I think I've missed it. I tried calling three times with hang-ups each time. Finally got ahold of someone at 10AM, and they were unenthusiastic and cold; they said they forwarded my inquiry to a counselor and they will reach out to me regarding if I had my 3-5 post-op follow up appointment today (which if I did, I missed it).
