A Notice to Our Patients and Referring Optometrist:
As of March 20, 2020, Eye Center of Texas is temporarily closing all locations for at least the next 2 weeks except for emergencies and urgencies.
This extreme measure was not taken lightly. However, the American Academy of Optometry and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as the Centers for Disease Control, have strongly issued this as a recommendation. The partners agree this is in the best interest of the health of patients and staff members.
If you are already scheduled for a retina injection, your appointment will NOT be canceled since this is considered a medical exception. If you need to reschedule, please call us at 713-797-1010.
Medical Exceptions: we will see emergent and urgent patients at our Bellaire and Pasadena locations… ie, severe pain, loss of vision, trauma, flashers/floaters, etc.
Our phone lines will be open during the majority of business hours if you are a patient who meets the above criteria. We ask that you be patient with us, we are working with a reduced crew. We are here to help you!
We will continue to provide updates via email and on social media regarding the reopening of our office. We are receiving updates from the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the Centers for Disease Control so we can make the most educated decisions on when to safely resume patient care. We appreciate your patience as we all work through this difficult situation.
Thank you for understanding and please contact us if you have any questions.
We will get through this together. Stay healthy!
