Dr. Paul J. Stewart, a board-certified ophthalmologist, is a leading figure in vitreoretinal surgery and ocular oncology. Raised in Gainesville, Florida, he graduated Cum Laude with majors in Biology and French from Rice University before earning his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Stewart completed his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in ocular oncology at Baylor, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center.

As the Director of the Ocular Oncology Service at the University of California, San Francisco, he led one of the premier practices in the field. His commitment to advancing ophthalmic knowledge is evident through his participation in numerous clinical trials and the publication of articles and book chapters on various retinal diseases and ocular oncology topics.
